What is the difference between linked in.com and facebook.com?

Linkedin.com is geared more towards *professionals* and networking with people within a field of business. According to wikipedia, it's a "business-oriented" networking site.

Facebook.com is geared more towards *friends* keeping in touch with each other. It was initially designed for people in college but is now for everyone over the age of 13 years old. It is more for "social networking" rather than "business networking."

Think of Linkedin for business while Facebook is for friends.
