How do we get information on facebook.com?
Facebook is a social directory that enables people to share information. Launched in February 2004, Facebook helps people better understand their world by giving them access to the information that is most relevant to them.

Facebook's website has grown to over 7.5 million people and, according to comScore, ranks as the seventh-most trafficked site in the United States. People with a valid email address from a supported college, high school or company can register for Facebook and create a profile to share information, photos, and interests with their friends.

Facebook is a Mark Zuckerberg production
Reply:you could do a search on google for this information, but I am a member so I can tell you some things about it.

First membership is by school, so in order to access the site you need to be a student at a high school or university.

There you could list all sorts of information about yourself;

Goals, future plans, courses you will take, what you like, who your friends are, what groups you belong to, and pictures of yourself and your classmates.

You could e mail your friends, and update your profile.

The problem comes in for college students in that employers are now checking on prospective employees. They use the accounts of students already employed at the company to check up on their future hires.
Reply:i have facebook, if you are a parent and you want to know if this site is "safe" i can assure you that it is, this site only your friends can access 90%of your information. it is a lot safer than sites like myspace.
