what can i do in it that i can't do with others? any other ideas/recommendations?

Applications, secureness, more privacy, more organized.





For me is the best social networking site.

Reply:Facebook is better for a number of reasons!





1) Privacy-- You are suposed to only add people you know personally or assoicated with. Friends, classmates, co-workers, even aqquitences, etc. Which is why when you add someone they ask you how do you know this person? And the details are listed.








2) College Networks--A member has to use their college e-mail address to join a school network. You can't fake a college email adress. Either your in school or not lol. And if you don't have a registered college email address, then you can't join a college network. This keeps spam users out of the network. And makes it easy to connect with real people around campus.





3) Events---I can't tell you how many parties and events that I've been invited too via facebook. When something is going down on campus or someone is throwing a party. The host can list it on facebook and invite friends and other people from school to the event. It's an easy way to spread the word.








4)No screen names---User's must use their real name. You have to be yourself. Making a false account with a fake name and weird pictures would defeat the whole purpose of facebook. Unlike myspace people can be whoever they want...which is kind of creepy! But with facebook you are given the privacy to be yourself and add real friends, classmates, etc





5)Tagged pictures and videos! I love this feature. If someone uploads a picture that I am in. They can tag me in it. So it will show up under my pictures and my friends can also see the picture of me that was tagged. I can also see pictures of my friends that were not uploaded by them but tagged because they are in the picture.





Myspace recently added this feature...losers!





6) No layouts!----Like on myspace, there are users that have layouts, music players, a hundred graphics, videos,etc all on one page? Does this make sense? NO! Does this slow down the computer? YES! I hate going to pages like that. It takes forever for them to load and is a waste of time.

you can't find some facebook features in myspace.
Reply:theres a lot more you can do on facebook compared to other sites .It offers a wide variety of applications which are..quite..interesting.
Reply:facebook is more private. facebook has these "networks" were everyone from your area where you live or your school can join. This makes it very easy to find your friends. There are also applications which you get used to right away. It is the easiest to navigate to other profiles and such. There is also a news page where you can see what all of your friends are up to such as adding new pictures or changing profile information

Reply:Facebook.com is better than other social websites for many reasons. Facebook does not submit your content to search engines. So lets say you comment about your teacher, and she googles her name, she will not be able to see what you wrote about her. On myspace she would be able to see everything just by doing a simple search in google. Facebook has many applications thatt are very fuun. Facebook is more suitable for younger people and there are less chances of becoming victimized.
Reply:In my opinion, it's not. Actually its a lot more than a little complicated than myspace (ie. all it's applications, profile-addons...etc). Myspace is for socializing in general/capturing your personality. Facebook is a wannabe version that just got really popular all of a sudden.
