Does anyone know of a site like facebook.com that can be used by people outside the academic community?

Now anyone can use facebook.

Does anyone know of a site like facebook.com that can be used by people outside the academic community?
Facebook is now available to people not in a school, but I believe it requires someone on the site to invite you.





There is also MySpace (www.myspace.com), which is similar and open to everyone.
