Facebook.com?

I just found out that Orlando Bloom has placed a profile on Facebook.com under a disguise in order to meet single women. How is going to do that if there are no personal ads on that site and you have to be invited or already have friends on there? I don't understand this site anyway.

Facebook.com?
Original Answer:

Just to let you know, Orlando Bloom was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night(5/15/07) and he said so himself that he hasn't taken his new computer out of the box ,because he's terrified of it, and he doesn't even know what MySpace is. I would have to assume ,based on that fact, that if he doesn't know what MySpace is then he probably doesn't know what Facebook is either. More than likely the person you found on Facebook is just one of 100s of Orlando Bloom posers that are on the internet.

If you don't believe me go to http://www.elflady.com/orlandolove/showp... to watch clips of the show and see the proof for yourself.

Ok, so you received an alert from Yahoo, but I really don't see how that's supposed to make it legit. Just because the alert said that "Orlando Bloom" was going to be doing that doesn't mean that the "Orlando Bloom" that they're talking about is actually the real one. There are all kinds of people out there on the internet "claiming" to be celebrities and you can never be sure if you've actually found the real one or not.

Personally, I think ,even though the alert is telling you that "Orlando Bloom" is going to be doing something, the person you are being alerted about is a poser. I base that on the fact that Orlando said he hasn't taken his computer out of the box and doesn't know what MySpace is even though this is Facebook that we're talking about. It's up to you to use your best judgment and decide if you think the person is real or not.

One thing that I really don't understand about all of this is that you said, "I do not know what name he is going under, just that it is a friend's name and picture." Ok, if you don't know what name he's going under then how did you even get a Yahoo alert about "Orlando Bloom" in the first place?

This all just really does not make any sense to me. Are you sure it's not an Orlando Bloom group on Facebook that you're being alerted about? What exactly does the alert say anyway?

I saw the newest details that you added to your question. I've read that article before, but I don't remember it saying anything about him setting up an account on Facebook.com I ,personally, think it may be something from a tabloid. It looks like they've taken parts of an article from a reputable magazine/newspaper and added their own stuff. If I were you I wouldn't believe it for a second. He said so himself that he hasn't taken his computer out of the box because he's terrified of it. That right there should wave a red flag about the alert.

I agree with you about Facebook being too complicated. I had an account there, but I canceled it.
Reply:He's probably going to find some ugly old 'boot' pretending to be someone else too. Some people like to lead a fantasy life online. Not me, I'm just your typical tall/dark and handsome dreamboat guy.
Reply:why bother?
Reply:That makes absolutely no sense.
Reply:DO YOU WANT ORLANDO TO YOURSELF?
Reply:It's all lies, I saw Orlando Bloom on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, last night, he said, he just bought his first computer and hasn't taken it out of the box yet. He also said he heard someone has been using his name on my space.and other sites.
Reply:how did u find out? and is it really him? whats the name he goes by? you can actually get on this site without having to be invited, its open to the public now.
Reply:good luck to him he just wants a relationship without the women looking for stardom or a free ride
